Design Goal
The most common way users utilize a portable monitor is in landscape mode. However, there is growing demand for portrait mode, which currently requires additional accessories. The primary goal of this project is to design a built-in kickstand that supports both landscape and portrait orientations.
Mechanism
Special hinge that moves along two axes during operation, clearing any interference as the kickstand deploys. The kickstand is mounted on a disc that rotates 90 degrees, enabling both landscape and portrait modes.
Accessories
The HP portable monitor includes accessories designed to elevate the user experience. A tripod offers enhanced viewing for entertainment, while stylus support enables convenient note-taking.
